March 3, 2018 by Simon

Merchandise is such an important part of the revenue stream for an income. Instead of just raising prices, learn some hacks for cutting down how much you’re paying for your goods. From building partnerships to doing it on your own, you can find the right mix of services for you.

Preferred Vendor List Example:

Resources:

The Ultimate Guide to Music Merchandise (article)

Recommended Vendors:

For CD replication: Cravedog and Discmakers
T-shirts/Apparel: Curly and Spike, Contagious Graphics, Seatthole, Jakprints, and Spinneret Graphics
Stickers: Stickerguy (hands down, the best)
Buttons: Busy Beaver Buttons
Posters: Nitroprint
Shotglasses: Discount Mugs
Silicone Wristbands: 24HourWristBands

Stuff to Make Your Own Merchandise:

1″ Button Maker Machine (invest in this type, not the cheap handheld ones)
Speedball All-in-One Screen Printing Kit (everything you need to print your own shirts and hoodies)
How to Print Your Own Shirts (great guide to get started)

Print on Demand Merchandise:  (outsourcing your merch, great for an online store where they ship your goods direct to the customer for you)

Threadless see an example from my band’s shop here
Society 6 (best for home goods, like pillows and tapestries)
